On March 27, in Beijing, China, thanks to our partner - PetroCouncil, brought an excellent conference on cippe2025, which gathered a large audience of representatives of Kazakh and Chinese companies interested in mutual cooperation between the two countries.

During the conference, welcoming remarks were made by Ms. Ding Ying, vice chairman of Zhenwei International Exhibition Group, the organizer of cippe2025, Chairman of the Presidium of PetroСouncil Mr. Rzabek Artygaliev, Mr. Liu Hongbin, President of China Petroleum & Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, Managing Director for the Oil and Gas Sector of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan ‘Atameken’ Mr. Muratbek Makhanov, President of the PetroMining Association Mr. Sayat Boranbekov.

 

 

 

 

The speech by the Deputy Akim of the Atyrau region, Mr. Marat Murziyev, about the investment potential of the region, aroused particular interest among the Chinese companies.

Mr. Jiang Dejun, Chairman of the Sinopec Engineering Group, shared about SEG’s rich experience in engineering and technical services in the refining & complex, petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, and other related industries, as well as SEG’s business in Kazakhstan and future cooperation prospects. The company took part in the reconstruction of Atyrau refinery, and now, together with Technicas Reunidas, is an EPC contractor for the construction of the second phase of the integrated gas chemical complex (polyethylene). The operator is Sillenо LLP.

Mr. Assylbek Jakiyev, Chairman of the Oil and Gas Council of Kazakhstan "PetroCouncil", shared the activities of PetroCouncil, overview of O&G and petrochemical industry in Kazakhstan.

The developing cooperation between the two countries was confirmed by the joint presentation of the partners - the general manager of CZ Electric Huang Minsheng and the director of the Kazakh company Sigma Solutions LLP Asset Ramazanov. The parties secured their cooperation by signing a memorandum.

Mr. Zheng Lijun, Executive Director & CEO of Sinopec Ningbo Engineering, spoke about the company’s comprehensive engineering service with one-stop and full-lifecycle solutions in petrochemicals, coal chemicals, natural gas chemicals, new energy, etc. It is currently carrying out equipment manufacturing work for the ethane cracking unit of the SILLENO project.

Chairman of the Board of the Baoyi Group, Zhang Xiaodong, and Vice President of Jereh Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd, Hao Bin, also spoke about possibilities to work with the Kazakh companies.

Which also attracted great attention from the attendees, are the presentations by the general director of Sillenо LLP Zhandos Kairgeldy and the company's procurement director Le Jiadong, about the construction of the first integrated gas chemical complex in Atyrau Oblast, which is in second stage (polyethylene production). General director of Butadien LLP Chingiz Surtayev, spoke about the new Butadiene project in the Atyrau region. Deputy general director of IMBC Samat Sarsengaliev, informed about the types of support provided to Kazakhstani manufacturers, including promoting their interests in large projects.

PetroСouncil and Central Asia Petroleum City Co., Ltd. signed memorandum of cooperation on the implementation of joint projects with Kazakhstani companies and involving Chinese companies to the Kazakh O&G market.

After the conference, the participants had the opportunity to exchange contacts with the speakers and ask them questions. As a result of the event, specific agreements were reached on cooperation between companies of the two countries.
